Navy Elementary First Annual Scripps Spelling Bee
When: February 21st, 2012 at 9 A.M.
Where: Navy Elementary School Library
Who: All interested 3rd – 6th graders
Please encourage your child to participate in Navy’s First Annual Spelling Bee. The grade-specific 100-word study lists have been provided to all 3-6 grade students. After your child has learned his/ her grade specific list, he/she is ready to learn words for other grade levels. The next grade-specific list can be picked up at the library.
Prior to the February 21st date, there will be a written preliminary round. The dates for the written grade level tests are: 3rd grade February 6th, 4th grade February 7th, 5th grade February 8th, and 6th grade February 9th. The top winners of the written round will participate in the school’s bee. The winner of the Navy Spelling Bee will go on to participate in the county spelling bee, and then possibly on to the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
