The PTO is made up of volunteers who are willing to give some of their time to plan and support the events and programs here at Navy. We are always looking for new volunteers to get involved with our events! Please take a look at the list of our committees and see if there's one that you would like to become a part of. . Our 2nd Vice President is our Volunteer Coordinator and she can answer any questions about what each committe does and how you can help. Below are a list of our Open Committee Positions. We are currently seeking Committee Chairs to lead these events.
Ice Cream Social (September/October) - Order ice cream and organize volunteers to set up stations, scoop ice cream and clean-up. This event is a Navy favorite and is scheduled for October 1st. All the ordering and organizing can be done at home before the event. This is a great event to run with a friend.
Audit Committee (July/August) - Perform the PTO end of year financial audit.
Basketball Game (Spring) - Set date and time, book venue, organize volunteers to collect tickets and sell school spirit items. This event is scheduled for May 14, 2011.
Community Outreach (throughout the year) - Organize events that help others in the community.
End of Year Picnic (May/June) - Organize the activities for the picnic and recruit volunteers to set-up, help out and clean-up at the event. This fun family event is scheduled for June 16, 2011.
Nominating Committee (Spring) - Recruit new nominees for next years PTO Board.
Parent Education (throughout the year) - Coordinate sessions dealing with topics of interest to Navy parents. |
