Please consider volunteering your time to help screen Kindergarten and 3rd grade students for vision and hearing. There will be screenings on Friday,10/6/17 from 8:45-12:00 and Wednesday, 10/11/17 from 8:45-10:30.

The PTO has many activities planned for the teachers at Navy during Teacher Appreciation Week.
Please make sure your child brings the following items next week:
Tuesday: Teacher and Specialist favorite Snack (snack bag size please)
Friday: Flower and a thank you card for Teacher & Specialist
The room parent will be outside the classroom each day collecting the above items, please let your student know they should give them to the parent!
We still are in need to helpers for next week. Please consider helping by providing 30 minutes to let a teacher go to lunch or 20 minutes for recess coverage to give the teacher a little break at the end of their week! Sign up below:

Summer break is almost here, and it’s time to think about reading some good books. Whether you visit the library, use various Internet resources, go to a bookstore, or just from your own bookshelf, you’re sure to find just the right reading material.
Congratulations to 3rd grader Rishi Swaminathan, who won the third annual Navy ES Spelling Bee! We are all very excited and proud for Rishi to represent Navy at the Fairfax Times Bee on March 13th at Lanier Middle School. Best of luck to Rishi!

Welcome to Navy Elementary’s first ever….
Dear Navy Elementary students,
We are excited to announce that Navy Elementary is opening its first school store!
● The school store will be open on Fridays only and will be held in the literacy room (hallway between the gym and main office)
● The store’s first day open will be December 13, 2013.
● Our hours open are from 8:25-8:45am. Each grade will have designated Fridays so lines aren’t too long.
● We will be selling items such as pencils, glue, highlighters, etc… The store will also have fun novelty items.
Our items will be priced at $0.25 to $2.00 and can be paid for by cash. If you want to support us even more, you can go ahead and buy our school store certificates! $5.00 Gift Certificates to the school store are only available on our website at www.navypto.com. You must pay online with a credit card. Gift Certificates will be on sale from Dec. 9th – Dec. 16th. Certificates will be delivered in Friday Folders on Dec. 20th.
