Navy Team Needs Your Vote!

I know it’s Summer Break, but there’s a Navy Team that needs your support:

Support your fellow students and Navy Community by casting your vote for the cybermaniacs — recently graduated 6th graders: Sonith Sunku, Sohan Kosuru, Jay Rachakonda and Henry Naughton. These boys are the only team from Virginia that made it to the eCybermission National Showcase and Awards Event and have worked very hard to be one of 21 teams out of 4,200 in the nation selected by eCybermission. Competing in eCybermission has taken the team on a journey of rigorous, real-life scientific research tackling pressing issues in our world today.

THANK YOU for YOUR SUPPORT!!

Class Size Counts

Join Class Size Counts in signing our PETITION to oppose the 0.5 student across-the-board increase in core academic class sizes in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS).
We urge the FCPS staff and School Board:

  • Not to increase elementary, middle and high school class sizes by 0.5 students
  • To comply with FCPS Regulation 1302.1, which caps elementary class sizes at 29

Class Size Counts advocates for quality class sizes for all students.  CSC opposes the proposed 0.5 student across-the-board, which will cause more students to be assigned to classes with 30+ students.

ACTION ITEM #1: Please sign our petition if you agree with our position.

ACTION ITEM #2: Testify at the May 16, 2017 FCPS School Board public hearings on the FY18 proposed budget https://www.fcps.edu/school-board/citizen-participation.

ACTION ITEM #3: Write the FCPS School Board asking them to oppose the 0.5 student across-the-board increase in elementary, middle and high school class sizes.

CSC works very closely with the local and state level community advocating for fair solutions to the class size issues that continue in FCPS.

Share this petition, learn more, get involved!  Class size counts, and so does your support.
